Incorporate turmeric into your diet
Even just a teaspoon of turmeric a day can dramatically lower your risk of Alzheimer’s and other chronic diseases. Incorporate turmeric into your diet by adding it to curries, blending it into smoothies or soups, seasoning vegetables with it, or even drinking it as a tea.
You might want to avoid turmeric if you’re on blood thinners as it is a natural blood thinner. Those who are pregnant, have gallstones, or are susceptible to kidney stones may also want to moderate their turmeric consumption.
You can boost turmeric’s bio-availability by adding some black pepper or eat it with a little fat, like nuts, avocado, or coconut oil to help boost your immunity.
Many studies have examined turmeric as a possible preventative measure against Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
